Music is a great metabolism booster. It raises your attention, your mood, and gets your feet to moving. It helps you get through a workout. But did you kno that just by actively enjoying your music you can also train your brain and body to increase your metabolism just at the sound of it? All you have to do is link up music's energy boosting beat with your own natural ability to form habits.Instructions
Pick a list of about a dozen songs or more. You will only use two or three at a time, but you will want to vary them so you don't get sick of the song. These songs should have a reasonable dance beat, anything from Irish fiddle music to Smash Mouth. The two criteria are that you like it, and you can sway to it. Music is only a metabolism booster if you can really get into it.
Set aside time several days a week (every day if possible) to listen to two or three songs, and move around to them. The point here isn't to have a workout, but to get into the music, body and soul. Have fun, shake your booty, stretch, do tai chi moves. Mix the moves up, and as you get warmed up, make sure you at least stretch or flex every muscle you can think of.
When you need some energy, put on headphones and listen to some of the songs you move around to. Even if you're sitting still, you will find your body wakes up by habit. Your mind wakes up by habit. You may find that your feet and shoulders move a little, just by instinct. Your metabolism increases. Your energy boosts.
